FANCM Antibody (M40-P2C6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects FANCM protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-FANCM antibody (M40-P2C6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. FANCM, or Fanconi anemia, complementation group M, plays a crucial role in maintaining genomic stability, as part of the Fanconi anemia (FA) pathway, which is essential for repairing DNA interstrand cross-links. This pathway is vital for cellular response to DNA damage, and defects in FANCM can lead to the development of Fanconi anemia, a genetic disorder characterized by bone marrow failure, developmental abnormalities, and increased cancer risk. FANCM protein is localized to chromatin fractions and undergoes phosphorylation in a cell cycle-dependent manner, which is important for recruiting the FA core complex to sites of DNA damage. This recruitment is critical for the monoubiquitination of FANCD2, a key step in the DNA repair process. Understanding the function and interactions of FANCM is essential for elucidating the mechanisms underlying genomic stability and the pathogenesis of Fanconi anemia, making FANCM (M40-P2C6) monoclonal antibody a valuable tool for researchers studying these processes.
