    SEE ALSO...

emerin Antibody (H-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects emerin in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-emerin antibody (H-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. emerin plays a crucial role in maintaining the structural integrity of the nuclear envelope, as emerin is a key component of the nuclear lamina, which provides mechanical support to the nucleus. This structural function is vital for proper cellular organization and gene expression regulation. Notably, mutations in the gene encoding emerin lead to Emery-Dreyfuss muscular dystrophy (EDMD), a condition characterized by progressive muscle weakness and cardiac issues, highlighting emerin′s importance in muscle and heart function. emerin′s localization to desmosomes and fasciae adherentes in cardiac tissue is particularly significant, as this may contribute to conduction defects observed in EDMD patients, underscoring emerin′s essential role in both muscle and cardiac health.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-393247 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: Randy McDonald
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
