CA II Antibody (D-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects carbonic anhydrase II (CA II) in mouse and rat samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CA II plays a crucial role in the reversible hydration of carbon dioxide, facilitating essential biological processes such as respiration, acid-base balance, and the formation of various bodily fluids, including saliva and gastric juice. CA II is predominantly located in the cytoplasm and is known for its high turnover rate and extensive tissue distribution, making CA II the most abundant carbonic anhydrase isozyme in humans.
