YB-1 Antibody (C-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects YB-1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). YB-1 (C-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. YB-1, also known as CCAAT-binding transcription factor, enhancer factor I subunit A, and DNA-binding protein B, belongs to a multifunctional protein family that plays a crucial role in regulating transcription and translation. YB-1 can interact with diverse nucleic acid structures, functioning as both a transcription factor and an mRNA masking protein. A modular structure featuring a highly conserved N-terminal cold-shock domain and four basic C-terminal domains rich in arginine clusters and aromatic residues enables YB-1′s binding capabilities. YB-1 drives cell proliferation by activating growth-associated gene expression while repressing cell death-associated FAS gene expression, demonstrating a vital role in maintaining cellular homeostasis through regulation of cell survival and apoptosis pathways.
