Tuftelin Antibody (G-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Tuftelin protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Tuftelin (G-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Tuftelin protein plays a crucial role in dental enamel development, a highly mineralized tissue primarily composed of organized hydroxyapatite crystals. Tuftelin protein is essential for proper mineralization and formation of enamel matrix, interacting with other key proteins such as Amelogenin, Ameloblastin, and Enamelin. Tuftelin protein is also expressed in both normal and cancerous non-mineralizing soft tissues, indicating potential multifunctional roles beyond enamel development. Tuftelin protein features a coiled-coil domain that facilitates self-assembly and interaction with Tuftelin interacting protein TIP39, which is vital for biological functions. Tuftelin protein contains one N-glycosylation site, seven O-glycosylation sites, and seven phosphorylation sites, all important for stability and activity, influencing interactions and functions within various cellular contexts.
