TRAP95 Antibody (F83) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects TRAP95 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). TRAP95 (F83) antibody is available as a non-conjugated anti-TRAP95 antibody. TRAP95 protein plays a crucial role in the regulation of transcription within mammalian cells, functioning as a key component of the thyroid hormone receptor-associated protein (TRAP) complex. This complex is essential for mediating the interaction between transcriptional activators and initiation factors, thereby facilitating hormone-induced transcriptional activation. The TRAP complex is composed of several proteins, including TRAP95, TRAP100, TRAP150, TRAP220, and TRAP230, all of which contain a nuclear receptor recognition motif that enables ligand-dependent binding to nuclear receptors. TRAP95, along with TRAP150 and TRAP230, enhances transcriptional activity by associating with the SMCC (SRB and MED protein cofactor complex), which is integral to the transcriptional machinery. Expression of TRAP proteins, particularly TRAP220 and TRAP100, is most prominent in tissues such as skeletal muscle, heart, and placenta, highlighting their importance in various physiological processes. Anti-TRAP95 antibody (F83) effectively detects TRAP95, making this antibody a valuable tool for researchers studying transcriptional regulation and its implications in health and disease.

I am using TRAP95 (F83): sc-130439 for immunofluorescence, what dilution of this antibody should I use?

Asked by: Cweed
Thank you for your question. We recommend a starting dilution of 1:50. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration. Please find our full immunofluorescence protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining
