Transcobalamin II Antibody (A-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects Transcobalamin II protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Transcobalamin II (A-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Transcobalamin II (TCII) plays a crucial role in vitamin B12 transport, a vital nutrient necessary for DNA synthesis and neurological function, by binding to cobalamin and facilitating cellular uptake.
