TFIIIB90-1/4 Antibody (B-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TFIIIB90-1/4 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TFIIIB90-1/4 (B-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TFIIIB90-1/4 plays a crucial role in the transcription of small nuclear RNAs and is essential for the proper functioning of RNA polymerase III, which synthesizes tRNA, 5S rRNA, 7SL RNA, and U6 snRNA. TFIIIB90-1/4 is particularly important because of its involvement in regulating gene expression necessary for cell growth and proliferation. In many transformed cell lines and tumors, overexpression of TFIIIB and associated complexes, such as TFIIIC2, is observed, indicating a link between TFIIIB90-1/4 and cancer progression. TFIIIC2 complex, which includes several subunits, is critical for recruiting RNA polymerase III to promoter elements, thereby facilitating transcription of genes vital for rapid cell division. Dysregulation of these transcription factors, particularly with inactivated tumor suppressors like retinoblastoma (RB) and p53, highlights TFIIIB90-1/4′s significance in oncogenesis and potential as a target for therapeutic intervention.
