Datasheets
  • TEF-4 Antibody (C-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgM κ provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 279-299 of TEF-4 of human origin
  • recommended for detection of TEF-4 of mouse, rat, human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA
  • m-IgGκ BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for TEF-4 Antibody (C-10) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with TEF-4 Antibody (C-10) (see ordering information below). For additional m-IgGκ BP conjugates see our complete list of Mouse IgG Binding Proteins.

TEF-4 Antibody (C-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects TEF-4 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TEF-4 (C-10) antibody is available in a non-conjugated form, allowing for versatile experimental use. The transcriptional enhancer factor (TEF)/TEAD family, which includes TEF-1, TEF-3, TEF-4, and TEF-5, is characterized by a highly conserved 68-amino acid TEA/ATTS DNA-binding domain that interacts with specific enhancers, including SV40 GT-IIC and muscle-specific M-CAT. TEF-4 plays a crucial role in cellular processes, being strongly coexpressed with TEF-1 in mouse mitotic neuroblasts and also found in the gut and nephrogenic regions of the kidney. TEF-4 is essential for mediating mitogenic signals through association with the transcriptional coactivator YAP65, which enhances cellular proliferation. Furthermore, TEF-4 is involved in the regulation of phosphatidylcholine biosynthesis by promoting the activation of CTP:phosphocholine cytidylyltransferase (CCT) alpha, the rate-limiting enzyme in this pathway, through the enhancement of Ets-1 transcriptional activity. The ability of TEF-4 to interact with these critical pathways underscores its importance in developmental biology and cellular signaling, making anti-TEF-4 antibody (C-10) a valuable tool for researchers studying these processes.
