SU 4984 is an inhibitor of tyrosine kinase activity of fibroblast growth factor receptor 1 (Flg). SU 4984 also inhibits alphaFGF-induced tyrosine phosphorylation of ERK1 and ERK2 and the tyrosine phosphorylation of the PDGF receptor and the insulin receptors. it does not, however, inhibit the kinase activity of the EGF receptor.
