Sox-15 Antibody (C-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects Sox-15 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Sox-15 (C-7) antibody is available as the non-conjugated form. Sox-15 protein, also known as SRY-related HMG-box transcription factor 15, plays a crucial role in embryonic development and cell fate determination by acting as a transcriptional regulator. Sox-15 achieves this by forming protein complexes with other transcription factors, which is essential for the precise regulation of gene expression during development. Sox-15 is predominantly expressed in fetal and adult tissues, with the highest levels found in the fetal spinal cord, adult brain, and adult testis, highlighting Sox-15′s importance in both early and later stages of development. Sox-15 contains a distinctive high mobility group (HMG) box DNA binding domain, which is critical for function and is related to the testis-determining gene SRY. The Sox family of transcription factors, including Sox-15, is known for influencing cell differentiation, development, and sex determination, and evolutionary conservation underscores fundamental roles in animal development. With an ability to interact with various proteins, Sox-15 is integral to the complex regulatory networks that govern cellular processes, making anti-Sox-15 antibody (C-7) a valuable tool for researchers studying these critical biological functions.
