    SEE ALSO...

SIRP-α/β1 Antibody (A-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects SIRP-α/β1 in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SIRP-α/β1 is part of the signal-regulatory protein family, which plays a crucial role in modulating immune responses and cellular signaling pathways. Specifically, SIRP-α is a transmembrane protein characterized by its extracellular domain containing three immunoglobulin-like structures and a cytoplasmic region with multiple tyrosine phosphorylation sites. This structural configuration allows SIRP-α to interact with various receptor tyrosine kinases, thereby influencing cellular responses to growth factors and oncogenes. The phosphorylation of SIRP-α enables binding to SH-PTP2, a protein-tyrosine phosphatase, through SH2 domain interactions, which further enhances a role in negatively regulating signaling pathways such as the PI 3-kinase pathway. This regulation is vital for controlling cell motility and survival, particularly in the context of cancer transformation. Additionally, SIRP-β1, which shares extensive homology with SIRP-α, lacks the cytoplasmic domain, indicating a divergence in function and regulatory mechanisms within the SIRP family. SIRP-α/β1 (A-1) antibody serves as an essential tool for researchers investigating the complex interactions and regulatory roles of these proteins in human health and disease.
