SEE ALSO...

Siglec-E Antibody (F-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects Siglec-E of mouse origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Siglec-E antibody (F-7) is available in a non-conjugated form, allowing for versatile applications in various experimental settings. Siglec-E, also known as Cd170, Siglec5, Siglec9, or mSiglec-E, is a 467 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in the immune system by mediating sialic acid-dependent cell adhesion. Siglec-E is primarily localized to the cell membrane and features one immunoglobulin-like V-type domain and two immunoglobulin-like C2-type domains, which are essential for function. Siglec-E is expressed at high levels in the heart, liver, and spleen, with lower expression in the lung and kidney, highlighting importance in immune responses in these organs. Siglec-E exists as a disulfide-linked homodimer, enhancing ability to bind sialylated ligands and facilitating cell-cell interactions. Siglec-E undergoes post-translational modifications, including phosphorylation, which can significantly influence binding capabilities and interactions with other proteins, thereby impacting immune signaling pathways.
