Septin 10 Antibody (A-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Septin 10 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Septin 10 antibody (A-2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Septin 10, a 517-residue polypeptide, is crucial for cellular processes, particularly in cytokinesis, where Septin 10 plays a significant role in the final stages of cell division. Septin 10 is predominantly localized in the cytoplasm and nucleus, with notably high expression in tissues such as placenta, lung, kidney, heart, skeletal muscles, liver, and various tumor cell lines. Septin 10 shares closest homology with Septin 6 and Septin 8, and like other septin family members, exhibits GTP-binding and GTPase activity, essential for function in cellular organization and division. Septin 10 regulation involves alternative splicing, and expression significantly increases in dendritic cells upon maturation induced by lipopolysaccharide, highlighting a potential role in immune responses.
