    SEE ALSO...

SCAND2 Antibody (D-19) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects SCAND2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-SCAND2 antibody (D-19) is available as the non-conjugated form. SCAND2, or SCAN domain-containing protein 2, is a 306 amino acid nuclear protein that plays a crucial role in transcriptional regulation, influencing gene expression and cellular responses. SCAND2 features a SCAN box domain, a conserved motif approximately 60 amino acids in length that facilitates protein-protein interactions, which is essential for its function in transcriptional complexes. SCAND2 is unique among SCAN box domain-containing proteins as SCAND2 lacks a C2H2-type zinc-finger domain, which is typically involved in DNA binding. SCAND2 gene is a fusion gene formed by the retropositioning of a PHD2 (also known as EGLN1) gene copy from chromosome 1 onto an ancestral SCAN zinc finger gene, followed by exon shuffling, resulting in a protein that combines features from both parent genes. SCAND2 exists as two isoforms produced by alternative splicing, which may contribute to its functional diversity in various cellular contexts.

I am using SCAND2 (D-19): sc-100975 for immunofluorescence, what dilution of this antibody should I use?

    Asked by: TinTin
Thank you for your question. We recommend a starting dilution of 1:50. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration. Please find our full immunofluorescence protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining
