RBQ-3 Antibody (D-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects RBQ-3 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). RBQ-3, also known as retinoblastoma binding protein 5 (RBBP5) or SWD1, is a 538 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in the nucleus, where RBQ-3 is involved in various cellular processes. Notably, RBQ-3 contains six WD repeats, which are structural motifs that contribute to RBQ-3′s ability to participate in regulatory mechanisms such as chromatin assembly and cell cycle control. These WD repeats allow RBQ-3 to interact with other proteins, including the underphosphorylated forms of the retinoblastoma (Rb) protein, thereby influencing cell proliferation and potentially impacting tumorigenesis. RBQ-3 exists in two alternatively spliced isoforms, and RBQ-3 activity is modulated by post-translational modifications, such as phosphorylation by ATM or ATR in response to DNA damage, highlighting RBQ-3′s importance in maintaining genomic stability. With broad species reactivity and versatile applications, anti-RBQ-3 antibody (D-6) serves as an essential tool for researchers studying the intricate roles of RBQ-3 in cellular regulation and cancer biology.
