SEE ALSO...

RBMS1 Antibody (73-K2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects RBMS1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-RBMS1 antibody (73-K2) is available as a non-conjugated format. RBMS1, also known as RNA binding motif, single stranded interacting protein 1, YC1, MSSP (c-Myc single strand binding protein), SCR2 (suppressor of Cdc2 with RNA binding motif), MSSP-1, MSSP-2, or MSSP-3, plays a crucial role in cellular processes by binding to single-stranded DNA and RNA, which is essential for gene regulation and stability. RBMS1 is predominantly localized in the nucleus and is expressed in tissues such as the lung, placenta, and heart, with peak expression during the G1 to S transition phase of the cell cycle, highlighting RBMS1′s importance in cell cycle regulation. RBMS1 contains two RNA recognition motifs, RNP1-A and RNP1-B, which are critical for binding nucleic acids, and specifically interacts with the catalytic subunit of DNA polymerase α, enhancing activity in vitro. Multiple isoforms of RBMS1, resulting from alternative splicing, further underscore the complexity of function and regulation in cellular processes.
