Datasheets
  • PUS1 Antibody (F-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a κ provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 53-91 near the N-terminus of PUS1 of human origin
  • recommended for detection of PUS1 of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF, IHC(P) and ELISA; also reactive with additional species, including and canine and porcine
  • TransCruz reagent for ChIP application (sc-376331 X, 200 µg/0.1 ml)
  • m-IgG2a BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for PUS1 Antibody (F-9) for WB and IHC(P) applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with PUS1 Antibody (F-9) (see ordering information below).

    SEE ALSO...

PUS1 Antibody (F-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects PUS1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PUS1, or Pseudouridine synthase 1, plays a crucial role in the post-transcriptional modification of RNA, specifically in the conversion of uridine to pseudouridine, which is essential for the stability and function of tRNA and rRNA molecules. This modification enhances the structural integrity of RNA, thereby influencing protein synthesis and cellular function. PUS1 is predominantly located in the nucleus, where PUS1 forms complexes with other proteins such as RARG and SRA1 RNA, facilitating RNA processing. PUS1 expression is notably high in brain and skeletal muscle tissues, reflecting PUS1′s importance in these areas, particularly given that defects in PUS1 are linked to myopathy with lactic acidosis and sideroblastic anemia (MLASA), a rare genetic disorder affecting oxidative phosphorylation in muscle and bone marrow. The human PUS1 protein consists of 348 amino acids and exhibits a remarkable 92% sequence homology with its mouse counterpart, underscoring PUS1′s evolutionary conservation and functional significance across species.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-376331 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
