PTP-MEG2 Antibody (D-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PTP-MEG2 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PTP-MEG2 (D-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PTP-MEG2, also known as PTPN9, plays a crucial role in cellular signaling by regulating tyrosine phosphorylation, which is essential for controlling cellular growth and differentiation. Located primarily in the cytoplasm, PTP-MEG2 is involved in the development of erythroid cells and possesses an N-terminal Sec14p homology domain, which is important for lipid binding and transport. PTP-MEG2′s interaction with hydrophobic ligands suggests a potential role in Golgi apparatus functions, highlighting its significance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and facilitating intracellular transport processes. The human gene for PTP-PEST, another cytoplasmic nonreceptor protein, maps to chromosome 7q11.23 and encodes a 780 amino acid cytosolic nonreceptor protein, which is abundantly expressed in various hemopoietic cell types, including B cells and T cells.
