PSR Antibody (APSR-14.4) is a hamster monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects phosphatidylserine receptor (PSR) in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM). PSR antibody (APSR-14.4) plays a crucial role in the recognition and clearance of apoptotic cells, as PSR (APSR-14.4) monoclonal antibody specifically binds to phosphatidylserine, which becomes exposed on the outer membrane of cells undergoing apoptosis. This interaction is vital for the phagocytosis of dying cells by immune cells like macrophages and dendritic cells, thereby maintaining tissue homeostasis and preventing inflammation. PSR is predominantly expressed on the surface of macrophages, fibroblasts, and epithelial cells, with particularly high levels found in heart, skeletal muscle, and kidney tissues. Notably, PSR is extensively glycosylated, which is important for its stability and function, as glycosylation can influence protein interactions and signaling pathways. Furthermore, the mammalian phosphatidylserine receptor exhibits significant homology to proteins found in Caenorhabditis elegans and Drosophila melanogaster, indicating that the mechanisms of apoptotic cell clearance have been evolutionarily conserved across species.

How can PSR (APSR-14.4): sc-32740 mouse monoclonal antibody be used for double or triple staining, if the other primary antibodies are also raised in mouse?

Asked by: AbPolly
In this case, we recommend using a directly conjugated mouse monoclonal primary antibody. This antibody is available conjugated to phycoerythrin (sc-32740 PE) or fluoroscein (sc-32740 FITC).
