Plasma Cell Antibody (LIV3G11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects human Plasma Cell protein through immunofluorescence (IF). Plasma Cell (LIV3G11) antibody is available in non-conjugated form and conjugated to agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® variants. Plasma cells, specialized lymphocytes derived from antigen-specific B cells, secrete antibodies essential for humoral immunity. These cells differentiate from B cells when activated by CD4+ lymphocytes, which stimulate B cells to function as antigen-presenting cells. Upon pathogen encounter, B cells process antigens, generating plasma cells capable of producing 10,000 antibodies per second. Plasma cells feature a large, basophilic cytoplasm and a nucleus with distinctive cartwheel-arranged heterochromatin, reflecting intense protein synthesis needed for antibody production. Though plasma cells typically have brief lifespans during initial immune responses, some persist in bone marrow or spleen, maintaining antibody secretion after immune challenges resolve.
