Perlecan Antibody (CSI 001-76) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Perlecan in human and bovine samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). Perlecan is a vital heparan sulfate proteoglycan that plays a crucial role in the extracellular matrix, influencing various cellular processes including growth, differentiation, and adhesion. Anti-Perlecan antibody (CSI 001-76) recognizes five distinct domains that facilitate interactions with a wide array of matrix molecules, cytokines, and growth factors, which are essential for cartilage development and the proper functioning of neuromuscular junctions. Perlecan′s ability to modulate growth factor activities is particularly important in tumor biology, as Perlecan can influence tumor cell metastasis and angiogenesis. Perlecan expression is regulated by key proteins such as antithrombin, which inhibits expression, and TGFβ1, which stimulates expression, highlighting the intricate balance of signaling pathways that can be targeted for therapeutic interventions in cancer. With multifaceted roles in cellular dynamics and disease processes, Perlecan remains a significant focus for research and potential clinical applications.
