    SEE ALSO...

PCDHGA3 Antibody (G-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PCDHGA3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PCDHGA3 (G-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Protocadherins, including PCDHGA3, play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining neuronal connections, which is vital for proper brain function and communication between neurons. PCDHGA3, a member of the protocadherin gamma subfamily A, consists of 932 amino acids and is characterized by a type I transmembrane receptor structure, featuring six cadherin motifs. PCDHGA3 is predominantly expressed in the central nervous system, where PCDHGA3 localizes to synapses, facilitating cell-cell adhesion and signaling necessary for neuronal survival. Notably, PCDHGA3 undergoes alternative splicing, resulting in two isoforms that may have distinct functional roles in neuronal development and synaptic plasticity. PCDHGA3′s importance in neuronal connectivity underscores PCDHGA3′s potential as a target for studying neurodevelopmental disorders and synaptic dysfunction.
