PCDHGA3 Antibody (G-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PCDHGA3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PCDHGA3 (G-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Protocadherins, including PCDHGA3, play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining neuronal connections, which is vital for proper brain function and communication between neurons. PCDHGA3, a member of the protocadherin gamma subfamily A, consists of 932 amino acids and is characterized by a type I transmembrane receptor structure, featuring six cadherin motifs. PCDHGA3 is predominantly expressed in the central nervous system, where PCDHGA3 localizes to synapses, facilitating cell-cell adhesion and signaling necessary for neuronal survival. Notably, PCDHGA3 undergoes alternative splicing, resulting in two isoforms that may have distinct functional roles in neuronal development and synaptic plasticity.
