SEE ALSO...

Neurogenin 1 Antibody (OR-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Neurogenin 1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Neurogenin 1 antibody (OR-7) is available as a non-conjugated format. The Neurogenin family, which includes Neurogenin 1, Neurogenin 2, and Neurogenin 3, is part of the basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) superfamily, known for its role as transcriptional regulators that influence cell fate decisions. Neurogenin 1 is particularly crucial during neurogenesis, where Neurogenin 1 is expressed in specific progenitor populations within the central and peripheral nervous systems. Neurogenin 1 is essential for the determination of neuronal precursors for proximal cranial sensory ganglia, highlighting Neurogenin 1′s importance in the development of sensory neurons. The gene encoding Neurogenin 1 is located on human chromosome 5q23-q31, and proper Neurogenin 1 function is vital for the formation of the nervous system, making Neurogenin 1 a key target for studies related to neurodevelopmental disorders and regenerative medicine.

I am using Neurogenin 1 (OR-7): sc-100332 for immunofluorescence, what dilution of this antibody should I use?

Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your question. We recommend a starting dilution of 1:50. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration. Please find our full immunofluorescence protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining

Has anyone try this antibody for immunoprecipitation of endogenous protein? Thanks!

Asked by: Raquel
Thank you for your question. We are not aware of anyone publishing with Neurogenin 1 Antibody (OR-7): sc-100332 for immunoprecipitation. We do warranty the antibody to work for this research application based on the performance of similar antibodies and the reactivity of this antibody in Western blot. Please contact our Technical Service Department for further support. Santa Cruz Biotechnology does warranty our antibodies for one year from the date of purchase. If we are unable to successfully troubleshoot your application we will send you a replacement antibody free of charge, or issue a credit or refund if that is not possible.
