SEE ALSO...

NDUFB11 Antibody (E-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects NDUFB11 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-NDUFB11 antibody (E-6) is available as the non-conjugated form. NDUFB11, also known as NADH dehydrogenase (ubiquinone) 1 beta subcomplex subunit 11, plays a crucial role as an accessory subunit of Complex I, which is a key component of the mitochondrial electron transport chain. Complex I is responsible for transferring electrons from NADH to ubiquinone, a process vital for ATP synthesis through oxidative phosphorylation. NDUFB11 is a hydrophobic transmembrane protein that is ubiquitously expressed and localized in the inner mitochondrial membrane. NDUFB11′s structure is essential for the stability and functionality of Complex I, contributing to the assembly and maintenance of this multi-protein complex, which consists of at least 45 different subunits. Additionally, cAMP-dependent phosphorylation of NDUFB11 is significant for regulating Complex I activity, highlighting NDUFB11′s importance in cellular energy metabolism and overall mitochondrial function.

Can NDUFB11 (E-6): sc-393110 monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your question. Yes, NDUFB11 (E-6): sc-393110 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
