Datasheets
  • Nε [γ-glutamyl]-Lysine Antibody (81D1C2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 Nε [γ-glutamyl]-Lysine antibody provided at 50 µg/500 µl
  • raised against synthetic Nε (γ-glutamyl)-Lysine
  • recommended for detection of Nε [γ-glutamyl]-Lysine bond formed by transglutaminase activity by WB and IF; may cross-react with Nε (acetyl) lysine; non cross-reactive with free lysine or free glutamine
  • m-IgG Fc BP-HRP and m-IgG1 BP-HRP are the preferred secondary detection reagents for Nε [γ-glutamyl]-Lysine Antibody (81D1C2) for WB applications. These reagents are now offered in bundles with Nε [γ-glutamyl]-Lysine Antibody (81D1C2) (see ordering information below).

    SEE ALSO...

Nε [γ-glutamyl]-Lysine Antibody (81D1C2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Nε [γ-glutamyl]-Lysine in non-species reactive samples through western blotting (WB) and immunofluorescence (IF) applications. Anti-Nε [γ-glutamyl]-Lysine antibody (81D1C2) is available as a non-conjugated antibody, specifically targeting the unique isopeptide bond formed by transglutaminase activity. This bond plays a significant role in various cellular processes, including protein cross-linking and stabilization, which are essential for maintaining structural integrity of proteins. Formation of the Nε [γ-glutamyl]-Lysine bond begins with ubiquitin activation, leading to ubiquitin-adenylate adduct creation and subsequent thiol ester formation, processes vital for cellular signaling and protein regulation. Isopeptide linkages, such as those between N-α-monomethylalanine and lysine, have been observed in ribosomal protein S11 from Escherichia coli, highlighting the importance of these bonds in both prokaryotic and eukaryotic systems. Nε [γ-glutamyl]-Lysine (81D1C2) monoclonal antibody′s ability to detect this specific modification makes this reagent invaluable for studying protein interactions and modifications in various biological contexts.
