Mengo 3DPol Antibody (3B7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Mengo 3DPol protein of viral origin by western blotting (WB). Mengo 3DPol (3B7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates, providing versatility for different experimental needs. Mengo 3DPol protein, a crucial component of Mengovirus, plays a significant role in viral replication by synthesizing RNA from the viral genome. This function is vital because RNA polymerase (3Dpol) efficiency directly influences virus replication rate, impacting overall viral load in infected hosts. Understanding Mengo 3DPol activity is essential for studying Mengovirus pathogenesis and developing potential therapeutic strategies, as research can help elucidate how viruses manipulate host cellular machinery to enhance replication. Mengovirus, belonging to the genus Cardiovirus within the Picornaviridae family, is a non-enveloped icosahedral virus with a positive-sense, single-stranded RNA genome divided into three segments, each encoding essential proteins for viral structure and replication. While infections can occur in vertebrates, they typically don′t lead to severe illness, making Mengo 3DPol and host response studies critical for understanding viral behavior.
