SEE ALSO...

MBP-probe Antibody (R29.6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects MBP-probe protein by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-MBP-probe antibody (R29.6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates, providing versatility for different experimental needs. MBP-probe protein, derived from the malE gene of Escherichia coli, consists of 370 amino acids and plays a crucial role in facilitating the purification of hybrid fusion proteins. This is particularly important in molecular biology, as MBP domain allows for efficient isolation of target proteins through affinity chromatography using amylose resin. Once MBP-fusion protein is bound to the resin, separation from the target protein occurs by cleavage with coagulation factor Xa or elution with excess free maltose, enabling researchers to obtain high-purity proteins for further analysis. Visualization of these proteins through techniques such as western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP) enhances MBP-probe (R29.6) antibody′s utility in various applications, making this tool essential for researchers working with fusion proteins in both prokaryotic and eukaryotic systems.
