KLF12 Antibody (NQ-C45) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects KLF12 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-KLF12 antibody (NQ-C45) is available as a non-conjugated format. KLF12, also known as AP2REP or HSPC122, is a crucial member of the Krüppel-like factor family, which consists of zinc finger-containing transcription factors that play significant roles in regulating various cellular processes, including growth, differentiation, and embryogenesis. KLF12 is a 402 amino acid protein primarily localized in the nucleus, where KLF12 exerts function by binding to specific DNA sequences. Notably, KLF12 contains three C2H2-type zinc fingers, which are essential for DNA-binding capability. KLF12 acts as a strong repressor of AP-2α transcription by binding to a regulatory element in the AP-2α gene promoter, thereby influencing gene expression patterns critical for cellular development and function. Additionally, KLF12 exists in two isoforms due to alternative splicing, which may contribute to functional diversity and regulatory mechanisms within the cell.
