    SEE ALSO...

IP3KA Antibody (F-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects IP3KA protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). IP3KA (F-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. IP3KA plays a crucial role in cellular signaling by regulating intracellular calcium levels through the hydrolysis of inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate (Ins(1,4,5)P3), which releases calcium from endoplasmic reticulum stores. This calcium release is vital for numerous physiological processes, including muscle contraction, neurotransmitter release, and cell proliferation. IP3KA is involved in the phosphorylation of Ins(1,4,5)P3 to form inositol 1,3,4,5-tetrakisphosphate (Ins(1,4,5)P4), which modulates calcium influx across the plasma membrane, thereby influencing various signaling pathways. IP3KA exists in three isoforms, with IP3KA being the most extensively studied, particularly in rat brain and testis, while IP3KB is expressed in various tissues, including lung and heart. IP3KA activity is enhanced by calmodulin and regulated through phosphorylation by several kinases, which underscores its importance in the inositol phosphate signaling pathways that govern cellular responses to external stimuli.
