SEE ALSO...

Integrin α1 Antibody (A-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Integrin alpha 1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Integrin α1 (A-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Integrin alpha 1 protein plays a crucial role in cell adhesion and signaling, functioning as a receptor that interacts with components of the extracellular matrix, such as collagen and fibronectin. This interaction maintains tissue integrity and facilitates cellular communication. Integrin alpha 1′s heterodimeric structure allows formation of various receptor combinations with different beta subunits, essential for diverse functional roles in processes like cell migration, differentiation, and survival. Through mediating these interactions, Integrin alpha 1 contributes to critical biological processes, including wound healing and immune responses, making Integrin alpha 1 an important target for research in developmental biology and cancer studies.

Asked by: He007
Thank you for your question. Integrin α1 Antibody (A-9): sc-271034 has been raised against amino acids 980-1143 mapping at an extracellular topological domain at the C-terminus of Integrin α1 (also designated CD49α) of rat origin. Anti-Integrin alpha 1 Antibody (A-9) is available conjugated to phycoerythrin, FITC, Alexa Fluor® 488, Alexa Fluor® 546, Alexa Fluor® 594 or Alexa Fluor® 647 for flow cytometry applications.

Can Integrin α1 (A-9): sc-271034 be frozen?

Asked by: jenniferc
No. The antibody solution contains gelatin. When the gelatin is frozen the antibody precipitates out of solution. However, if an antibody’s datasheet says that the antibody should be stored frozen, then the antibody can be frozen, as these antibodies do not contain gelatin.
