    SEE ALSO...

FAM163A Antibody (G-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects FAM163A of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-FAM163A antibody (G-12) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. FAM163A, also known as C1orf76 or neuroblastoma-derived secretory protein (NDSP), is a 167 amino acid single-pass membrane protein that plays a crucial role in cellular signaling and communication, particularly in neuroblastoma, where high expression levels may serve as a marker for metastasis in bone marrow. FAM163A localization in the cell membrane facilitates interactions with other membrane proteins and receptors, influencing various signaling pathways vital for cell proliferation and differentiation. FAM163A gene is located on human chromosome 1, a region spanning 260 million base pairs and containing over 3,000 genes, many associated with various diseases, including several cancers. Aberrations in chromosome 1 have been implicated in conditions such as familial adenomatous polyposis, Stickler syndrome, and multiple myeloma, highlighting FAM163A significance in both normal physiology and disease states.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-393821 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
