Datasheets
  • epsin 2 Antibody (F-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 κ epsin 2 antibody, cited in 2 publications, provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 551-578 at the C-terminus of epsin 2 of human origin
  • recommended for detection of epsin 2a and epsin 2b of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA; also reactive with additional species, including equine
  • m-IgGκ BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for epsin 2 Antibody (F-10) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with epsin 2 Antibody (F-10) (see ordering information below). For additional m-IgGκ BP conjugates see our complete list of Mouse IgG Binding Proteins.

Epsin 2 Antibody (F-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects epsin 2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-epsin 2 antibody (F-10) is available as a non-conjugated format. Epsin 2 plays a crucial role in Clathrin-mediated endocytosis, which is essential for internalizing various receptors and nutrients into cells. This process maintains cellular homeostasis and regulates signaling pathways, particularly those involving receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs). Disruption of epsin function can lead to impaired endocytosis, potentially contributing to various diseases, including cancer, by affecting cellular response to growth factors and other stimuli. Epsin 2 interacts with Eps15, another key player in the endocytic pathway, and both proteins are predominantly found in presynaptic nerve terminals, highlighting their importance in synaptic vesicle recycling. Epsin 2 exists in two splicing variants, epsin 2a and 2b, which are enriched in the brain and localized in the peri-Golgi region, emphasizing epsin 2′s significance in neuronal function and signaling.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-376788 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
