Endoglin Antibody (P3D1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects the Endoglin protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM). Endoglin monoclonal antibody (P3D1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Endoglin, also known as CD105, plays a crucial role in angiogenesis and is essential for the proper formation of blood vessels. Endoglin is primarily located on the surface of vascular endothelial cells, where Endoglin interacts with transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β) superfamily ligands, facilitating their signaling pathways that regulate cell proliferation, migration, and differentiation. The importance of Endoglin in vascular biology is underscored by Endoglin′s involvement in hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia (HHT), a genetic disorder characterized by abnormal blood vessel formation leading to excessive bleeding and other vascular complications. Mutations in the Endoglin gene can disrupt Endoglin′s function, contributing to the pathophysiology of HHT1, highlighting the significance of this protein in maintaining vascular integrity and function.

I've tested a different protocol for IHC-P, but tonsil tissue as the positive control is not stained. my concern is about storage condition, I stored it in -20 for 2 months, can these storage conditions be problematic?

Asked by: SAHAR
Thank you for your question. Most of our antibodies are provided in PBS with gelatin and sodium azide. When the antibody is frozen, it precipitates out of the solution due to the presence of gelatin and may denature. We recommend storing all antibodies contained in PBS with gelatin at 4 °C. At this temperature, they are usually viable for a number of years.
