DPP7 Antibody (C-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects DPP7 protein of mouse and rat origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). DPP7 (C-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Dipeptidyl peptidases (DPPs) play a crucial role in regulating substrate activity and have been implicated in several diseases, such as type 2 diabetes, obesity, and cancer. DPP7, also known as dipeptidyl-peptidase 7, DPP2, DPPII, or quiescent cell proline dipeptidase, is primarily located in lysosomes and is expressed in quiescent lymphocytes. This localization allows DPP7 to participate in oligopeptide degradation, which is essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis and immune function. Upon calcium release, DPP7 can be secreted in active form, highlighting a dynamic role in cellular signaling. DPP7 exists as a homodimer through its leucine zipper motif, and inhibition can lead to apoptosis in quiescent cells, underscoring importance in lymphocyte survival. DPP7 interacts with various proteins, including voltage-gated potassium channels, influencing their expression and biophysical properties, which may also affect T cell function.
