DnaJB6 Antibody (F-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects DnaJB6 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). DnaJB6, also known as MRJ, HSJ2, HHDJ1, or MSJ-1, is a member of the DnaJ family of heat shock proteins, which are crucial for protein folding and protection under stress conditions. DnaJB6 is predominantly expressed in the brain, where anti-DnaJB6 antibody (F-8) helps researchers study its vital role in maintaining cellular homeostasis and preventing neurodegeneration. DnaJB6 interacts with other chaperones, particularly HSP70, to facilitate proper folding of nascent polypeptides and refolding of misfolded proteins, thereby preventing toxic aggregate accumulation. The presence of cysteine-rich regions and zinc finger motifs in DnaJB6 contributes to its chaperone activity, allowing DnaJB6 to bind to unfolded proteins and assist in their proper conformation.
