DDX21 Antibody (F-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects DDX21 protein of mouse origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). DDX21 (F-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. DDX21, also known as DEAD (Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp) box polypeptide 21, is a 783 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in RNA metabolism, particularly in unwinding double-stranded RNA and folding single-stranded RNA into functional structures. DDX21 is primarily located in the nucleus, where DDX21 is involved in essential cellular processes such as ribosome and spliceosome assembly, which are vital for proper gene expression and cellular function. DDX21′s presence in the nucleus underscores DDX21′s importance in regulating RNA dynamics, and DDX21 dysfunction has been linked to various diseases, including autoimmune conditions like watermelon stomach disease, characterized by chronic gastrointestinal bleeding. Additionally, DDX21 exists as multiple alternatively spliced isoforms, enhancing DDX21′s functional versatility within the cell.
