    SEE ALSO...

DDO Antibody (H-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects DDO protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-DDO antibody (H-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. DDO, or D-aspartate oxidase, is a 341 amino acid protein localized to peroxisomes and exists in two alternatively spliced isoforms, DDO-1 and DDO-2. DDO plays a crucial role in oxidative deamination of D-aspartate and N-methyl D-aspartate, utilizing flavin adenine dinucleotide or 6-hydroxyflavin adenine dinucleotide as cofactors. DDO′s enzymatic activity is significant in regulating neurotransmitter levels, which can impact various neurological functions and disorders. Human DDO shares 86% sequence similarity with its bovine counterpart, indicating a conserved function across species. DDO gene is located on human chromosome 6, a region associated with several genetic conditions, including early onset intestinal cancer and various neuropsychiatric disorders. DDO′s presence and interactions with other proteins underscore DDO′s importance in both cellular metabolism and potential implications in disease pathways.
