Claudin-11 Antibody (D-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgA kappa light chain antibody that detects claudin-11 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-claudin-11 antibody (D-8) is available as non-conjugated format. Claudin-11 protein functions as a crucial component of tight junctions, essential for maintaining epithelial and endothelial barrier integrity. Tight junctions regulate paracellular transport, ensuring substances pass through spaces between cells in a controlled manner. Claudin-11 plays a vital role in the central nervous system, contributing to blood-brain barrier formation, a selective barrier protecting the brain from harmful substances while allowing essential nutrients to pass through. Claudin-11′s unique structure, including four transmembrane domains and two extracellular loops, facilitates tight junction strand formation that seals intercellular space. Understanding claudin-11′s function and interactions within tight junctions provides insights into various physiological processes and potential pathologies, including neurological disorders and cancer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Monoclonal Antibodies work great.We used mouse anti-claudin-11 (#sc-271232; Santa Cruz Biotechnology, 1:500 dilution in PBS); and mouse anti-glial fibrillary acidic protein (anti-GFAP; #sc-33673; Santa Cruz Biotechnology, Inc.; 1:500 dilution in PBS) for Immunohistochemistry (Frozen sections) for Mouse Tissue sections (Brain) to study the co-localization for different cell types with Lac-Z ​transgene expression. These two Abs work excellent for us.
