CDV envelope antigen Antibody (7515) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects the envelope antigen of Canine Distemper Virus (CDV) by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-CDV envelope antigen antibody (7515) is available in a non-conjugated form, specifically designed for the detection of CDV envelope antigen. Canine distemper is a highly infectious viral disease caused by the Morbillivirus genus, significantly impacting the respiratory, gastrointestinal, and central nervous systems of dogs and other carnivores, with young dogs aged four months to four years being particularly vulnerable. The envelope protein of CDV plays a crucial role in virus infection of host cells, facilitating fusion of the viral membrane with the host cell membrane, allowing viral genome entry and replication initiation. This process drives disease pathogenesis, leading to severe neurological complications and, in many cases, death. Understanding envelope protein function remains essential for developing effective vaccines and therapeutic strategies against CDV, as this protein serves as a key target for neutralizing antibodies.
