SEE ALSO...

CCDC91 Antibody (D-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects CCDC91 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-CCDC91 antibody (D-12) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CCDC91, also known as coiled-coil domain-containing protein 91 or GGABP (GGA-binding partner), is a critical 441 amino acid membrane protein that plays a vital role in regulating membrane traffic through the trans-Golgi network (TGN). CCDC91 exists as three alternatively spliced isoforms and forms a homodimer, which is essential for function. CCDC91 interacts with key proteins such as GGA1, GGA2, and γ1-Adaptin, facilitating the sorting and transport of proteins within the cell. The gene encoding CCDC91 is located on human chromosome 12p11.22, spanning approximately 446,702 bases and containing over 1,100 genes. Chromosome 12 is significant not only for encoding crucial transcription factors involved in morphogenesis but also for association with various skeletal deformities and developmental syndromes, including Noonan syndrome. Proper functioning of CCDC91 is essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis and ensuring efficient intracellular transport, making CCDC91 a valuable target for research in cell biology and related fields.
