    SEE ALSO...

CALM Antibody (G-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects CALM in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CALM, or clathrin assembly protein lymphoid myeloid leukemia, plays a crucial role in the clathrin-mediated endocytosis process, which is essential for cellular uptake of nutrients and signaling molecules. CALM (G-8) antibody recognizes a protein primarily located in the cytoplasm involved in the assembly of clathrin-coated pits, facilitating the formation of vesicles that transport cargo from the plasma membrane and trans-Golgi network. CALM′s cellular location enables interaction with clathrin and other adapter proteins, such as AP180, to ensure efficient vesicle formation and trafficking. Disruptions in this process can lead to various cellular dysfunctions and diseases, highlighting CALM′s significance in maintaining cellular homeostasis. Anti-CALM antibody (G-8) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying endocytic pathways and related cellular mechanisms.

Can CALM (G-8): sc-390580 monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

    Asked by: Cweed
Thank you for your question. Yes, CALM (G-8): sc-390580 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
