Datasheets
  • ARH Antibody (F-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 κ ARH antibody provided at 200 µg/ml
  • raised against amino acids 74-192 mapping within an internal region of ARH of human origin
  • recommended for detection of ARH of human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA
  • m-IgG3 BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for ARH Antibody (F-11) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with ARH Antibody (F-11) (see ordering information below).

    SEE ALSO...

ARH Antibody (F-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects the ARH protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-ARH antibody (F-11) is available as the non-conjugated form. ARH protein, also known as autosomal recessive hypercholesterolemia protein or LDLRAP1 (low density lipoprotein receptor adapter protein 1), is a crucial 308 amino acid cytoplasmic protein that plays a significant role in cholesterol metabolism. ARH protein contains one phosphotyrosine-binding domain, which is essential for functioning as an adapter protein that facilitates efficient endocytosis of low-density lipoprotein receptor (LDLR) from coated pits in polarized cells, such as hepatocytes and lymphocytes. By stabilizing interaction between LDLR and structural components of coated pits, ARH ensures proper internalization of LDLR, which is vital for maintaining cholesterol homeostasis. While ARH is predominantly expressed in kidney, liver, and placenta, ARH is found at lower levels in other tissues, including brain, heart, muscle, colon, spleen, intestine, lung, and leukocytes. Mutations in ARH gene can lead to autosomal recessive hypercholesterolemia, a condition characterized by defective internalization of LDL receptors in liver, resulting in severely elevated plasma LDL cholesterol levels and associated clinical features such as tuberous and tendon xanthomata and premature atherosclerosis.

What blocking solution should I use with ARH (F-11): sc-514106 monoclonal antibody for Western blot?

    Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your question. We recommend blocking with Blotto (either TBS Blotto A: sc-2333 or TBS Blotto B: sc-2335). Our Western blot protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/western-immuno-blotting
