ALY Antibody (4i214) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects ALY in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. ALY, also known as THO complex subunit 4, THOC4, REF1, Refbp1, and BEF, plays a crucial role in mRNA processing and export as a transcriptional coactivator and a member of the cytidylyltransferase family. ALY (4i214) antibody recognizes a protein primarily located in the nucleus, where ALY is recruited to messenger ribonucleoprotein (mRNP) complexes during spliceosome assembly, highlighting its importance in gene expression regulation. ALY′s association with splicing factors in the nucleus underscores a role in facilitating the transition from splicing to mRNA export, ensuring properly processed mRNA is efficiently transported to the cytoplasm for translation.
