Aflatoxin Antibody (AFC-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 lambda light chain antibody that detects Aflatoxin protein by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Aflatoxin antibody (AFC-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates, providing versatility for different experimental needs. Aflatoxin is a naturally occurring mycotoxin primarily produced by the molds Aspergillus flavus and Aspergillus parasiticus, which thrive in warm, humid environments, particularly affecting grains under stress conditions such as drought. The significance of Aflatoxin lies in its potent toxicity, with Aflatoxin B1 being the most harmful variant, posing serious health risks to humans and animals through contaminated food sources.
