ADAM9 Antibody (G-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ADAM9 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ADAM9 Antibody (G-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ADAM9 protein, encoded by the human ADAM9 gene located on chromosome 8p11, is an 819 amino acid glycoprotein that plays a crucial role in various physiological processes, including cell adhesion and signaling. Notably, ADAM9 is involved in the modulation of Notch signaling pathways, which are essential for cell differentiation and development. ADAM9 structure includes a signal domain, pro domain, metalloprotease domain, disintegrin domain, cysteine-rich region, epidermal growth factor-like domain, transmembrane domain, and a cytoplasmic tail, all of which contribute to functional versatility. These domains allow ADAM9 to interact with specific proteins, facilitating processes such as fertilization and muscle fusion. Proper functioning of ADAM9 is vital for maintaining cellular communication and tissue homeostasis, making ADAM9 an important target for research in developmental biology and disease mechanisms.
