1,4-Diethylpiperazine is a type of piperazine, which is a cyclic amine with two nitrogen atoms in the ring. 1,4-Diethylpiperazine has various applications in scientific experiments such as in organic synthesis and as a reagent in analytical chemistry. It is a photophysical and acidic compound that reacts with iron oxides to form an orange-red skeleton that can be used as a cell membrane permeability probe. 1,4-Diethylpiperazine can also react with amines to produce fluorescent probes.
