    SEE ALSO...

TBCE Antibody (D-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects TBCE protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TBCE (D-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TBCE protein, also known as tubulin folding cofactor E, plays a crucial role in the tubulin folding pathway, specifically in the second step, where TBCE assists in the proper assembly of microtubules, which are essential components of the cytoskeletal network. Microtubules are vital for various cellular functions, including maintaining cell shape, enabling intracellular transport, and facilitating cell division. TBCE′s ability to associate with microtubules and proteasomes allows TBCE to protect against misfolded protein stress, thereby ensuring cellular integrity and function. Mutations in the TBCE gene have been linked to serious conditions such as hypoparathyroidism-retardation-dysmorphism syndrome and Kenny-Caffey syndrome type 1, highlighting TBCE′s significance in human health.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-398209 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
