    SEE ALSO...

SUN1 Antibody (2D10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects SUN1 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-SUN1 antibody (2D10) is available as a non-conjugated format. SUN1, also known as UNC84A, is a multi-pass nuclear membrane protein that plays a crucial role in nuclear anchoring and migration, which are essential processes for maintaining cellular integrity and function. Highly expressed in the heart, brain, and testis, UNC84A serves as an A-type Lamin-binding protein, establishing a vital link between the inner and outer nuclear envelope membranes. This structural connection facilitates proper localization of nuclear envelope proteins and connects the nuclear interior to the actin cytoskeleton, thereby influencing cellular shape and movement. UNC84A is implicated in telomere attachment and normal testis development, highlighting its significance in both cellular organization and reproductive health. SUN1 contains one UNC84 (SUN) domain and exists in four isoforms due to alternative splicing, which may contribute to diverse functional roles within the cell.
