SEE ALSO...

p-Dynamin I Antibody (F-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Ser 795 phosphorylated Dynamin I in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-p-Dynamin I antibody (F-11) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Dynamin I plays a crucial role as a GTPase enzyme in the retrieval of synaptic vesicles following exocytosis, which is essential for maintaining synaptic function and neurotransmission. Dynamin I is primarily located in the cytosolic compartment of nerve terminals, where phosphorylation occurs at Serine 795 by protein kinase C (PKC). This specific phosphorylation event is significant as Dynamin I′s interaction with other molecules influences the SH3 domain of p85, the regulatory subunit of phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase. Dynamin I′s phosphorylation state is critical for function, as dephosphorylation is necessary for effective synaptic vesicle retrieval, indicating that phosphorylation status can modulate subcellular localization and activity.
